Density Separator

During the fluidization process, granular materials undergo particle and density segregation. By adjusting technical parameters such as air pressure and amplitude, the materials are caused to intermix, resulting in stratification. Materials with higher specific gravity settle to the bottom, while those with lower specific gravity rise to the top. Once the material enters the discharge zone, the materials of different specific gravities are discharged from different locations as required to achieve the purpose of separation.

Product Introduction

The specific gravity classifier, together with a cyclone separator, dust collector, and induced draft fan, forms a classification system. Under the suction force of the fan, the material enters the classifier through the feed inlet at the bottom and is carried at high speed by the rising airflow into the classification zone. Under the powerful centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotating classification turbine, coarse and fine materials are separated. Fine particles that meet the particle size requirements pass through the gaps between the classification wheel blades and enter the cyclone separator or dust collector for collection, while coarse particles, under the combined effect of gravity and centrifugal force, sink. They are thrown by the rotor blades toward the periphery of the cylinder and slide down its surface. During their descent, they are struck by a secondary airflow, which disperses any fine powder agglomerated within the coarse particles and blows them back into the classification chamber; the coarse powder is discharged through the lower discharge valve under the force of gravity.

  • It employs a vertical classification turbine unit, featuring low rotational speed, high wear resistance, and low system power requirements.
  • The classifier has a rational design and can simultaneously produce products in multiple particle size ranges, making it suitable for large-scale industrial classification of fine powders ranging from 325 to 8,000 mesh (1.6 to 45 microns).
  • It is highly versatile and can be used in series with grinding equipment such as ball mills, vibrating mills, and Raymond mills to form a closed-circuit system.
  • The system operates under negative pressure, with dust emissions not exceeding 40 mg/m³. Through the implementation of noise-reduction measures, equipment noise does not exceed 75 dB(A).
  • High degree of automation. The control system employs programmable logic control (PLC) with real-time display of operating status. All impeller classifiers in each stage utilize electronic variable-frequency stepless speed regulation. The automatic cyclic multi-chamber dust collection system features electronic control and automatic dust removal, enhancing the stability of the system’s negative pressure and optimizing the density separation process.
