Air-Classifying Sifter

The airflow screening machine departs from the traditional operating principle based on gravitational potential energy and pioneers a new method of screening that utilizes the kinetic energy of the carrier fluid to perform work. Operating in a sealed environment, it employs a high-speed airflow as the carrier, propelling fully dispersed powder particles toward the screen with sufficient kinetic energy to achieve rapid classification.

The airflow screening machine breaks away from the traditional operating principle of gravitational potential energy and pioneers a new method of screening based on the kinetic energy of the carrier fluid. Operating in a sealed environment, it uses high-speed airflow as a carrier to propel fully dispersed powder particles toward the screen mesh with sufficient kinetic energy, thereby achieving rapid classification. An airflow screening and grinding machine is installed at the feed end of the airflow screen, the powder undergoes pretreatment in the air classifier before entering the airflow screen. This ensures that the material entering the screen is free of lumps, large particles, and foreign objects such as metal fragments, allowing for thorough atomization.

This significantly reduces the load on the screen mesh and improves both screening efficiency and pass rate. It is widely used for various hard-to-screen fine powders and can effectively screen fine powders within the 50–500 mesh range. Examples include light calcium carbonate powder, active calcium carbonate powder, activated carbon powder, starch, traditional Chinese medicine powder, fly ash, zinc powder, and graphite powder.

Performance Advantages

Before entering the airflow screen, the powder is pretreated by an air classifier to ensure that the material entering the airflow screen is free of clumps, large particles, and foreign objects such as metal pieces. The feed rate is uniform and continuous, the powder is thoroughly atomized, and there is no pipeline blockage or material buildup on the walls. As a result, the system can operate normally and continuously regardless of the type of calcium product being screened;
No matter how many bolts, stones, or cement chunks are present in the powder to be screened, they will not pass through the air screen and will certainly not damage the air classifier’s screen mesh;
The air classifier is suitable for screening light calcium carbonate and nano-calcium carbonate, which have high specific gravity and high viscosity.
